Feeling Weak?

Sometimes you’ll have a day when you are just feeling weak. Mentally. Physically. Spiritually. Something-ally. Here is a list of Bible verses that you will find comforting. The more you read these verses in context, the richer they are, and the more you will find them encouraging. But even in isolation without context, you will find them helpful and encouraging. Take comfort.

  1. Joshua 1:9
    Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” 

  2. Psalm 27:1
    The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? 

  3. Psalm 46:1–3
    1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. 

  4. Proverbs 18:10

    The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. 

  5. Isaiah 41:10
    So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. 

  6. Ephesians 6:10

    Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 

  7. 2 Timothy 1:7

    For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 

  8. Philippians 4:13

    I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

  9. James 1:2–4

    2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 

  10. 1 Peter 5:7

    Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
